Andrew Lising
Andrew Lising is a recent college undergraduate from the University of Maryland holding a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. He is currently employed as a Transportation Civil Analyst at Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. located in Reston, Virginia. In the winter of 2025, he successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), marking a significant milestone in his professional engineering career.
Concurrent with his undergraduate studies, Andrew accompanied local Catholic Churches near College Park and Rockville, Maryland. He served as Music Director at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Parish in Fort Meade, bringing organizational leadership as well as musical direction to the parish’s liturgical program. He additionally served as accompanist at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kensington, and occasionally substituted at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Rockville and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Derwood. He further provided accompaniment for services and other events hosted at the University of Maryland Memorial Chapel.
In addition to his church services, Andrew held the position of Student Front of House Supervisor at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center where he oversaw a team of student ushers, attending to the orderly and courteous reception of audience members attending performances across the center’s venues.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing or biking. Prior to starting at PPC, Andrew took a trip to California visiting family and exploring National Parks with his friends.
