Providence Readers will gather on March 15 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm in Room 206 to discuss Women of the Post by Joshunda Sanders. This historical fiction focuses on the real-life 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the only all-Black, female U.S. Army unit to serve overseas during WWII. It follows several women who, in 1944, travel to Europe to sort over a million pieces of backlogged mail, overcoming racism, sexism, and intense working conditions while forging deep friendships.
