The Adult Ministry Committee invites you and your family to learn about the customs and values of the indigenous tribes that historically lived in the Potomac region.

Our field trip will explore the exhibit inside the visitor center and interpret a warrior model, real artifacts, and tool replicas. Then we will take a short hike along the river in search of food and herbal medicine traditionally hunted and gathered by the native peoples. This program will help you appreciate, connect with, and care for the plants, animals, and earth in the same way indigenous people do and leave with resources to learn how to support the tribes who are still here today.
