Yes, We are open again!

Welcome to Providence Upward Basketball for the 2021/2022 season. The Providence Upward Basketball experience is a positive, family-friendly sports experience that welcomes the entire community.

No matter your child’s age group, your Providence Upward Basketball experience will be fun for the whole family.

Our kids basketball programs

Throughout the season, your child will explore and discover their love of the sport by playing half of every game. Kids will be individually recognized at each game and find positive role models in coaches and other sports volunteers.

Teach sport skills and values

Offer family-friendly schedules

Allow kids to make new friends

Provide equal playing time

Providence Upward Basketball features one weeknight practice and one Saturday game per week. Registration for each season opens on August 15th. We prefer you register online, but traditional registration forms will also be available.

Evaluations will be conducted in late September and early October with team assignments completed by mid-November. Practices will start in December and games generally begin in January and continue through the end of February or early March. The End of Season Celebration is generally the Sunday evening the day after the last regularly scheduled game of the season.

About Upward

What is Upward Sports™?

A program that provides the opportunity to reach out into the community for Christ through basketball.

Upward Sports is a first-class sports experience that emphasizes healthy competition, sportsmanship, skills building and fun versus the “win-at-all-costs” mentality found in many children sports leagues.

Upward provides the Best Sports Experience for every child, regardless of prior experience or skill level. Upward emphases that winning is about so much more than the final score.

Every child plays.
Every child learns.
Every child is a winner.

Faith Development

“Introducing children to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve through sports.”

Providence Upward Basketball and Upward Sports have undertaken a task to positively impact the spiritual lives of our participants and their families. It is our goal to demonstrate to our kids the wonderful gift of Love God has given to us. It is through this demonstration of God’s Love on a continual basis we will begin to develop/increase the Faith of our kids and their family and friends who support them in their Upward experience.

Providence and Providence Upward Basketball take great care in this ministry and its mission. The lessons and experiences of Upward Basketball will last a lifetime for the player, coach, referee, greeter, devotional leader, family and friends. No matter what your role or connection is to Providence Upward Basketball...

Our purpose is to enhance your spiritual relationship and increase your Faith.
