DESCRIPTION:MEAL PACKAGING EVENT!\nWhy is this one of our church’s favorite missions? Because it provides thousands of nutritious meals wherever the need is greatest\, EVERYONE can participate\, and it’s fun to see your friends in hairnets!  Whether you’re 9 or 90\, a whole family or flying solo\, need to burn off some extra energy or take it easy\, there is a job for you at the \nRise Against Hunger event scheduled for April 7\, 12:30 to 3:00! \nWe will provide pizza and drinks to fuel everyone up for a busy and fun-filled afternoon to pack as many meals as we can before they ring the gong at 3:00! \nWe received a generous grant to fund this mission activity\, so the only limit to the good we can do is the number of hands we have doing the work. The more volunteers we have the more meals we can pack! We have to provide the organizers with an estimated number of volunteers two weeks before the event\, so don’t hesitate or delay! \nREGISTER HERE \n

DESCRIPTION:LYDIA CIRCLE This program year\, our Presbyterian Women’s Group will be studying “Sacred Encounters: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts”.  The author of this study\, Olive Mahabir\, invites us “to consider Jesus and Jesus’ disciples who shared the Good News through sacred encounters with everyday people.”  We meet the third Wednesday of most months\, September through May\, in the Parlor starting at 9:30 am. In June\, we wrap up with a salad luncheon from 11:00 am. During the months of November through March after the bible study we pack up Hypothermia Bags for the homeless at Bailey’s Shelter.

DESCRIPTION:We will come together in Mission Hall for a Rise Against Hunger meal packaging event. Rise Against Hunger uses an assembly line process to package thousands of food packets\, which contain 20 vitamins and minerals and become nutritious meals by adding hot water. Rise Against Hunger is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities\, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. The mission of Rise Against Hunger is to alleviate hunger through early childhood development centers in South Africa that are improving access to quality education and nutritious meals for children ages 0-6. \n  \n  \n
