PROVIDENCE READERS will meet on May 18 at 3:00 pm in the Parlor to discuss The Women by Kristin Hannah. This book follows a young female nurse who serves during the American conflict in Vietnam in the late 1960s. She is eager to find purpose and quickly grows from a naïve woman to a skilled operating room nurse. However, after her return to the States, the horrors of war make
acclimation to civilian life challenging.
