The Membership Committee is charged with looking not only outward to our community, but also inward to our own congregation. Membership Committee hosts 3-4 Prospective Member classes and dinners throughout the year, in which we welcome those considering making Providence their church home. Further, Membership reaches out to members missing from the life of the congregation to express their care and concern on behalf of the church.
Mission Committee, chair: Mary Margaret Evans
Chair: Mary Margaret Evans
The Mission Committee gives regular, prayerful thought to what the “Kingdom of God” looks like from a variety of perspectives, and identifies some of the gaps between the present reality and the vision of the Kingdom. We enable and encourage Providence and each of its members to give their money, time and talents to narrow these gaps. We make thoughtful, responsible, informed decisions about the distribution of the church’s benevolent funds in the context of working towards the Kingdom and we ensure that working towards the Kingdom is an integral part of life as a member of Providence.
Nominating Committee, chair: Paul Cornetta
Chair: Paul Cornetta
The Nominating Committee, with prayerful consideration, develops the roster of candidates to fulfill the offices of elder, deacon and members of the nominating committee that will then be elected by the congregation of Providence Presbyterian Church.
Pastoral Care Committee, chair: David Kepley

The Pastoral Care Committee reaches out in Christian love to our congregation in times of sadness and joy. Through notes, visits, meals, rides and telephone calls we offer support to Providence members and friends whose families have lost a loved one, welcomed a new baby, and celebrated a special occasion or suffered disappointment or loss. Each month a committee member serves as a primary contact to respond to requests for help from ministers and members.
Personnel Committee, chair: Paul Cornetta
