Serving Regional Neighbors
Providence has sent at least one team of adults to the Gulf Coast each year since the Gulf hurricanes of 2005 to help with clean-up and repair efforts. Providence plans to continue sending teams for several more years.
The high school youth usually take one or two regional work trips a year. Examples of recent trips:
- Orange Grove, MS—repaired a home damaged by Hurricane Katrina
- Hosanna Industries—Help construct and repair houses for needy families
- 3 Days of Mission
How to support the regional mission trips:
- Teens may volunteer.
- Adults may volunteer to chaperone.
- Consider loaning a van.
- Donate supplies.
- Make financial contributions.

. . . for I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you
welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took
care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.
Matthew 25:35-36
