"You've Got Mail!" - Another Letter from Paul
- and other Adult Education Offerings
Beginning on Sunday, April 6, two new Adult Education programs will be offered for a total of six weeks (through May 11). These offerings include three 2-week Thoughtful Christian offerings, plus a special six-week course provided by our own Roger Shoup on the Kingdom of God. The offerings, and their dates, are:

April 6 & April 13: The Books Between the Testaments (the Apocrypha)—Hank Schlenker

April 20 & April 27: What do Presbyterians Believe?—David Kepley
What does 'Presbyterian' mean? Who are Presbyterians and what do they believe?
May 4 & May 11: Galatians—Sally Ormsby
'You've Got Mail'—the Letter to the Galatians takes us into the heart of a first century dispute that is still relevant today!
Kingdom of God Series
Parlor
The Kingdom of God is at the core of Jesus' teachings in both his parables and sermons. In order to know Jesus both in terms of what he says and who he is, we need to understand the Kingdom of God. (Please bring your bible.)
April 6: Kingdom and Covenant—Roger Shoup
Dealing with the covenant with Abraham, God, and the Promised Land.
April 13: Kingship—Roger Shoup
Covering God the King of creation and all human history.
April 20: Prophets and Exile—Tim Taylor
Includes Amos and the context of covenant and Kingdom, as well as the Exile, post-Exile, and images of God's Kingdom.
April 27: Christ and Kingdom—Roger Shoup
Proclaiming God's Kingdom and the parables.
May 4: Life, Death and Resurrection—TBD
The Crucifixion - who and why, and the Resurrection.
May 11: Living for God's Kingdom—Roger Shoup
When will God's Kingdom come? What does God expect of us now.
Prospective Members Class welcomes adults interested in learning more about Providence and possibly making Providence Presbyterian their church home by becoming members. If interested, contact the pastor

Current Mid-week classes:
- Faith in Film.
Spend one Friday evening a month discerning the messages of faith and theology in contemporary films.
Join us for critical film viewing and discussion of 'aha!' moments facilitated by the silver screen!
Various
small group Bible study, meditation, and discussion groups of youths
and adults meet throughout the week.
The church's library offers a variety of study and reading
materials.
