Final Construction Report Part 3 of 3

Edited excerpts from the conclusion of Mike Greeley's final report on the construction project presented to the Congregation on Sept. 7, 2008.  Thanks to Mike for all his good work:

Final Statement--I want to recognize the key people intimately responsible for carrying out the Capital Stewardship construction and improvement program. These are the designers, builders and lenders:

Designers: Kerns Group Architects--Ms. Francie Fetzer (Intern/Designer) and Ms. Mary Fricke (Senior Interior Designer).

General Contractor:  Chamberlain Construction Corp.-- Mr. Dan Dellinger (Senior Project Manager).

Lender:  United Bank--Mr. E. Allen Schirmer (Vice President).

Judy and Woody Woodburn, Members of Providence who designed the kitchen.

Special thanks to Bill Zink who advised Mike Greeley and consulted with the church throughout construction.

It was my great pleasure to know and work with each of these men and women. They were at all times professional, courteous and helpful to me and the church's Construction Committee.  I want to thank each of you for your kindness, diligence and consideration as well as your skill and ability to complete this project in such a magnificent manner.  We will always be grateful for your tireless effort to do things right and provide our church with a wonderful new beginning.

I have one more group to recognize--the Construction Committee: Dick Ernst (co-liaison), Jim McKeever (who was invaluable in cutting through the county bureaucracy), Eldon Wright (who was able to distill issues quickly and concisely) and Joe Moss (who worked with nearly every day and patiently explained the workings of the church).  I thank each of them for their professionalism and hard work and their support of my effort.

Finally, I want to thank the church for allowing me to serve on the Committee with these gentlemen. There was some hair pulling but I learned a lot and have enjoyed the ride.  I am truly grateful for the opportunity to get better acquainted with the Committee members, other members of the church and to work with such fine people.  I am particularly happy that I was given the chance to meet and work on a daily basis with the site superintendent, Wayne Sealock and his sidekicks, John and Ralph. Don Dellinger and these guys were great.  They always worked hard to get the job done on time and done right.  They are savvy, honest and good humored.

Thank you.

Mike Greeley

NOTE:  AND THANK YOU MIKE GREELEY FOR YOUR GOOD WORK AND LEADERSHIP ON THIS PROJECT.  NICELY DONE!!
