Men of the Church

This group brings together men for fellowship and Bible study, providing an opportunity to build each other up spiritually while also creating opportunities to serve the church. The Men of the Church meet over breakfast at Providence the first Saturday each month September-June and they also organize golfing and other fellowship activities. The group’s philosophy is captured by an old prayer: “Father, Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior. My eyes are your eyes to see. My hands are your hands to work. My gifts are your gifts to build your church. I commit to build your church! Amen.”

Men’s Breakfast

Join us on Saturday, June 3rd at 8:00 am in Taylor Hall for breakfast, study, and fellowship. Our guest presenter will be church member Dr. James Trefil, Clarence J. Robinson Professor of Physics at George Mason University. He has written more than fifty books on science, and his writing has won numerous awards.

As we continue to study the origins of our universe, Dr. Trefil will give a fifteen-minute presentation about his new book, Exoplanets, as we continue to consider the origins of the universe. The Rev. Dr. Mick Burns will also present a brief theological reflection. A full breakfast will be provided along with great fellowship. Join us for a conversation about our cosmos.

Annual Men’s Retreat

Each year Providence invites men for a weekend of fellowship, Bible study, and recreation. This inter-generational gathering is a great time for men to build each other up in the faith and share good times. Getting away from daily routines and getting together with fellow believers is fun and rewarding, which is why many men come back to this retreat year after year.

Visit the church calendar to confirm meeting times and locations.
